Nowadays there exist an increasing demand of reconfigurable devices in telecommunications systems due to the requirements of a greater versatility and to the search of a more inmediate response. In the SWAT group we work to adapt reconfiguration to periodic or pseudo-periodic structures allowing for redirection and control of beams at microwave and millimeter waves. Reconfiguration of millimeter waves is a goal to attain due to the limitation of classical devices operating with diodes. In the group we explore some alternatives based on composites showing “ON/OFF” properties, where we highlight the study and characterization of graphene-composites.
