Antonio Álex PhD Thesis Defense
In April 2021, our member Antonio Álex defended his Doctoral Thesis at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, finishing a 3 years period. He has supervised by Prof. José Manuel Fernández-Gonzalez (Polytechnic University of Madrid,) and Prof. Pablo Padilla (University of Granada).
During this period, he was a visiting PhD student at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweeden), supervised by Prof. Oscar Quevedo-Teruel. He was also awarded with the Best Electromagnetics Paper at the EuCAP 2020 conference for his article “Elliptical Glide-Symmetric Holey Metasurfaces for Wideband Anisotropy”.
His Doctoral Thesis was about the study of new materials, technologies and techniques applied to the efficient design of antennas and microwave devices of present and future 5Gwireless communication networks.
